Intro
Centrally located in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts, The Therapeutic Equestrian Center serves children and adults from three New England states and over 25 Massachusetts communities.
Almost 200 riders per year used our riding therapy program to help themselves grow to their greatest potential. Among disabilities addressed at TEC are psycological disorders including attendion deficit disorder, hyperactivity disorder, ADHD, Autism-spectrum disorders including Asberger's Syndrome, Developmental Delay Syndrome, Rhett Syndrome, Cerebral Palsey, hearing deficits, blindness, Muscular Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Juvinile Arthritis and Scoliosis.
TEC also works with stroke and head injury patients a through a special program developed in cooperation with the Weldon Rehabilitation Hospital of Mercy Medical Center of Springfield MA.
In addition, TEC works with the Veterans' Administration through the Horses for Heroes program to provide rehabilative care to veterans suffering from physical injury, psychological stress and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Association (NARHA) nationwide program for America’s wounded service personnel and veterans. NARHA Certified Instructors and various professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers strive to physically improve, emotionally empower, and socially enhance the lives of veterans with disabilities.
